Apple computers has just opened a new store in New York City on 5th Avenue at 5:00. This store alone makes me want to revisit NYC. Of course there are many other things I still would like to see that I missed the first time I went, but this is now on the top of my list for my next visit. This new store features a 32 foot glass cube as its entrance. The store itself is located underground and will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For the first 24 hours of the grand opening Apple is giving away a new MacBook laptop every hour.

This store looks awesome. I saw it on the news last night and the lines to get in where crazy. I guess the free laptop is a good motivator. We're probably going to get a mac mini soon. Our old G4 is still on OSX 10.1 which is very sad. It doesn't even support the new updates anymore so it is time to for it to go. Do you have any suggestions before we buy?
If you guys want to get the mini, I would suggest going with the more expensive one if you can. The new minis have the intel chips in them so it should run fast enough and run any new application that come out. I think the mini is a good computer for simple computing and surfing. You will see a huge speed difference compared to you G4.
You could always get that new black MacBook! That thing is pretty cool. Catie and I went to the Apple store in the plaza tonight and checked them out. They are really cool, with the redesign and built in camera.
