300 times cooler than your movie

300 is a movie based on the graphic novel (comic book) by Frank Miller based on the battle between the Spartans and the Persians in 481-480 B.C. 300 is the number of Spartans that fought against the 1 million Persians. Frank Miller is also the same author of Sin City, which was made into a very successful movie too. 300 is being made in the same fashion as Sin City.... a lot of green screens.

This movie is probably my most anticipated film of 2007. The special effects and action scenes look amazing. I am sure I will have a few friends that would be willing to go and see this with me. Lane already committed, so that is one. Catie is actually pretty interested in seeing this one too.

Here is a link to the movie trailer on the Apple site - 300

The birth of a ninja

Every once in a while I head over to Wulffmorgenthaler.com to check out the new comic strips that they have created. They are usually very bizarre so not everyone will enjoy them. I find them quite funny most of the time. Well, I happened upon a few videos they posted on youtube the other day and I felt I had to post about one in particular. I will set it up for you. If you choose tohttp://www2.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif watch this video you will be witness to the delivery of one yet to be named Baby Nelson. Now I present to you...

Oldplay

I found this video on youtube the other day and I can't stop watching it. It is probably the best remake of a song I have ever heard. Check out "Fix You" by Fred Knittle and the Young @ Heart Chorus. If you want to hear the original version by Coldplay, check it out here.

The Young @ Heart Chorus are a group of senior citizens that travel the world and sing rock songs. They range in age from 73 to 92. Very inspiring to stay young.

Rock em, sock em, robot

So... since I have been getting some slack for being a slacker here is an update.

My new job is awesome. I have been there a little over a week now and have enjoyed it a lot. I have even enjoyed working on the jobs nobody else wants to do. It is just good to be doing some design again. The days have been flying by, which is nice. My old job, every day felt like two. So far, so good.
